Jaime Ardila was appointed President, GM South America region, responsible for the operations in Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela, effective June 22, 2010, after serving as GM Mercosur President, since November 2007. He is currently a member of the GM Executive Committee, reporting to CEO Dan Akerson.
