Stuart Gulliver

Group Chief Executive of HSBC Stuart Gulliver came on board to the company in 1980.  Two decades later, he was appointed HSBC’s Group General Manager and in 2004, Group Managing Director.  Four years thereafter, he became executive director for the company. In 2010, Gulliver was appointed to the role of Chairman of HSBC Private Banking Holdings (Suisse) SA and a year later, the same role with HSBC France. Other executive roles Gulliver has hold with HSBC include: director of The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited and HSBC Bank plc.; deputy chairman and member of the Supervisory Board of HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt AG.; director of HSBC North America Holdings Inc.; HSBC Bank Middle East Limited; and HSBC Latin America Holdings (UK) Limited. As well, he was the co-head of Global Banking and Markets for the company as well as Head of Global Markets; Head of Treasury and Capital Markets in Asia-Pacific.
