Robert Beauchamp is CEO, Chairman of the board and President of BMC Software. He started out at the company in 1988 as a sales executive, but was promoted very quickly. During his time with BMC, Beauchamp has led principal business initiatives in the fields of R&D, marketing and development. Beauchamp has been instrumental in transforming the company from a mainframe tools vendor to one that delivers the industry’s most strategic enterprise management and automation solutions. On teaming up with Amazon Web Services, Beauchamp said in Zdnet, “AWS came to us because large enterprises were worried about shadow IT. Enterprises were fine with using amazon, but wanted compliance and standard provisioning.”
