Peter Muller

Muller started work at Morgan Stanley in 1993.  He took on the position having left the quantitative firm Barra because they rejected his idea to use quantitative techniques to predict returns rather than just model risk.  In this way Barra would be able to manage money independently.

At Morgan Stanley, Muller was described by Bloomberg.com as an “unlikely executive.”  But there, he was able to establish the Process Driven Trading Group for the firm.  Muller was also known for his high capability in Math alongside his expansive range of  intellectual interests and hobbies.
