Recently, Mississippi College School of Business co-sponsored a summit with Primerica about personal financial security. Speakers included Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney, state Treasurer Lynn Fitch, and House of Representatives Speaker Pro Tempore Greg Snowden of Meridian.
Fitch announced at the conference that she will press the Legislature to pass a law that mandates that high school students should be required to take personal finance classes.
The summit include MC business professors Nancy Anderson and Bobby Perkins who joined Primerica executive David Landrum to discuss making smart investments, setting aside emergency money and more.
