John K. Jamieson was born in Canada in 1910. He was the force behind the reorganization of Standard Oil and other affiliated companies into what became the Exxon Corporation during the late 1960s until 1975. During the early years of the 1970s, with the help of the Arab Oil Embargo, Exxon generated historically high profit levels.
