Jay R. Pryor became VP of Business Development for Chevron Corporation in 2006. In this capacity, he is in charge of analyzing and creating new, large-scale upstream and downstream business opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions. Other roles Pryor has held at the company include: MD of Chevron Nigeria Ltd. (whereby he was in charge of leading the company’s West African gas and oil operations); MD of Asia South business unit and Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd.; GM of Human Resources, Chevron Corporation; Manager of petroleum engineering, Tengizchevroil, Chevron Overseas Petroleum Inc.
