On joining the Yad Hanadiv foundation in 2016 as Programme Director, Hanoch Ilsar brings a vast array of experience. He held the leadership position for the Israel Society for Ecology and Environmental Sciences. While CEO there, Ilsar helped progress a wide array of programs such as: the Mimshak Fellows programme (placing postdoctoral fellows in Government Agencies), the Hebrew language journal Ecology and Environment and Zavit (a news agency for science and the environment). Before that, he worked at the Israel Union for Environmental Defense as Head of its Energy and Air Pollution Department. Ilsar has an LLB in Law and Philosophy (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) and an MSc in Environmental Change and Management (University of Oxford).
