Hank Meijer is the co-chairman and CEO of Meijer Inc., a Michigan-based Meijer grocery chain. He was first appointed CEO and then he became its Chairman and Co-CEO, along with his younger brother, Douglas Meijer. He joined the company in 1979 as Assistant Advertising Director, being promoted to Marketing Director in 1983. In 1984, he published “Thrifty Years,” a biography of Hendrik Meijer, the company’s founder and his grandfather.
