Drexel Burnham Lambert

During the 1980s Drexel Burnham Lambert was one of Wall Street’s major investment banking firms. In February of 1990 the company was forced into bankruptcy due to its activities with illegal junk bonds through the efforts of prominent employee Michael Milken. At its best moment Drexel Burnham Lambert was the fifth-largest investment company in the United States.
