Digicel Group Ltd. is a cellphone network provider offering services in parts of Oceania, Central America and the Caribbean regions.  It thus is able to reach 26 countries and territories in the Caribbean and the USA, giving access to over six million wireless users. When the company was first set up in Jamaica, it acquiesced 100,000 customers in around 100 days. In the decade since the initial launch, its Jamaican customer base has grown to more than two million users. In Haiti, from 2006-2012, it served 2.4 million customers making Haiti Digicel’s largest customer base to date. Digicel also runs a host of community-based initiatives across its markets and set up Digicel Foundations in Jamaica, Haiti and Papua New Guinea focusing on educational, cultural and social development programs. Digicel is incorporated in Bermuda and its markets comprise: Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, Bonaire, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominica, El Salvador, Fiji, French Guiana, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Nauru, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, St Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos and Vanuatu. Digicel also has coverage in St. Martin and St. Barts in the Caribbean.
