Debra A. Cafaro has served as the CEO of Ventas, Inc. since 1999. In 2003, she was elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors as well.
Last year, Cafaro was listed amongst the Top 25 Women in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare, and was voted to Institutional Investor’s “2011 All-American Executive Team.” Crain’s Chicago Business also named her as one of the ‘Women to Watch’. Cafaro also received the Aiming High Award from Legal Momentum in 2009.
Cafaro has been named an Outstanding Woman by National Real Estate Investor Magazine, a Woman of Influence by Real Estate Forum, Female Leader of the Year by Commercial Property News, one of the ’50 Women to Watch’ by Wall Street Journal, and one of the ‘Best of the Best’ REIT CEOs.
