Coinstar Inc. manufactures machines which are speedy, accurate, easy-to-use, and can be found in pretty much all places. Indeed, around 19,000 Coinstar Center® machines today can be found in supermarkets, drug stores, mass merchants, convenience stores, financial institutions and restaurants. The Coinstar history began like this: one day, Jens Molbak was sitting in his Stanford University graduate dorm room pondering how he could turn the jar of coins on his desk into cash. That was the concept. And, today, services now include: simply coins to cash and free coin-counting when cashing in for eCertificates and cards. In addition, coins can be donated to a wide variety of charities. The company seeks to “help people make the most of their coins.”
