Bill Emerson became CEO of Quicken Loans Inc. in 2002. He has been with the company since 1993, when he started as a mortgage banker. In his capacity as CEO, he is in charge of the day-to-day leadership and company strategy. He set up Dan Gilbert’s Mortgage-In-A-Box concept, which is a method of doing business over the phone, which resulted in the centralized business model that the company uses today. His strong leadership skills enabled him to operate various business units at the company. He was also head of Quicken’s mortgage operations, with responsibility for driving performance.
