Alan Schnitzer was appointed to the roles of Vice Chairman and CEO of Business and International Insurance at Travelers Companies, Inc., in 2014. Before that he held other key roles at the firm since joining in 2007. These included: Vice Chairman of Financial, Professional & International Insurance and Field Management; Chief Legal Officer Vice Chairman and Chief Legal Officer. He brings to the company expertise from his partnership at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. He gave counsel there to corporate clients on various corporate legal matters. He sits on the Penn IUR Advisory Board.
