Sophocles N. Zoullas is the founder of Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc, and has served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Eagle Bulk Shipping since 2005. Mr. Zoullas has over 24 years of experience in the shipping industry, including the strategic, commercial and operational sides of the business. On the operational side Sophocles Zoullas’ experience includes oversight of ship repair, maintenance, cost control, vessel acquisition negotiations, financing, chartering and insurance.
Mr. Zoullas was the executive officer and director of the shipping agency Norland Shipping & Trading Corporation from 1989 to 2005, when he founded Eagle Bulk Shipping.
Sophocles Zoullas attended Harvard College where he received his BA, and then attended IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland where he received his MBA.
