The CEO of Mattel, Robert A. Eckert has been the CEO of Mattel Inc. and the Chairman since May of 2000. Prior to his work at Mattel, he was a 23 year veteran of Kraft, where he served as their president and CEO from October 1997 until May of 2000. From 1995 until 1997 he served as the Group Vice President of Kraft Foods Inc. where he was responsible for its Oscar Mayer Foods and North American Foodservice Division. He was also responsible, at that time, for the Operations, Sales and Customer Service, Technology, Marketing Services, and Business Development staff functions.
In addition to his work at Mattel, Mr. Eckert is the Chairman of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council. He has been a Director of Levi Strauss & Co. since May of 2010 and has been a Director of McDonald’s Corporation since 2003. He is also on the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management Advisory Board at Northwestern University and is a Member of the Board of Visitors at the Anderson School at UCLA.
