Richard A. Abdoo is president of R.A. Abdoo & Co. LLC, an environmental and energy consulting firm. Before retiring in 2004, he served as CEO and chairman of Wisconsin Energy Corporation. Abdoo began serving in these positions in 1991. He initially joined the company in 1975 as Director of Strategic Planning.
Richard Abdoo’s guidance helped Wisconsin Energy Corp. become a Fortune 500 company. His strategy included several mergers and acquisitions, including the conjoining of Wisconsin Electric with Wisconsin Natural Gas Company in 1996, and the acquisition of WICOR, Inc., as well as Wisconsin Gas.
