Michael C. Crews became Executive VP and CFO at Peabody Energy in 2008. In these roles he is in charge of both the firm’s fiscal and accounting functions. He focuses on the following specifics: accounting; budgeting; capital management; community relations; corporate business development; corporate communications; financial planning; financial reporting; forecasting; insurance; investor relations; risk management; tax and treasury. Other posts he has held at the firm include: Assistant Corporate Controller, Director of Planning, Assistant Treasurer, and, most recently, Vice President of Operations Planning. Crews has been with Peabody since 1998 when he came on board as Senior Manager of Financial Reporting.
