Mark L. Wagar, BA, is President and CEO of Empire HealthChoice HMO, Inc. (a subsidiary of WellPoint, Inc.) as well as CEO of Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield at WellPoint Inc. Other positions he has held at th firm in the past include: President of Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Senior VP and Market Leader of WellPoint Inc., Senior VP of Sales for Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield. He has been with the firm since 2005 following its merger with WellChoice, New York. When he first came on board, Wagar was put in charge of national account sales and account management for Northeast customers.
