Lief D. Rosenblatt

Lief RosenblattLief D. Rosenblatt graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University, where he was a Phi Beta Kappa and also received a law degree. A Rhodes scholar, he earned a master’s degree in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford University.

Lief D. Rosenblatt was a Senior Principal and Co-Founder at Satellite Asset Management, L.P. He co-founded the firm in 1999. Before this, Mr. Rosenblatt was a Managing Director and the Head of the Arbitrage, High Yield, and Distressed Securities Department at Soros Fund Management LLC. In addition, he was also the General Partner at Plaza Securities Company. Mr. Rosenblatt also served as a Senior Vice President in the risk arbitrage department at Lehman Brothers. He was a Director since 1989 and also Member of the Executive Committee of Crystal Oil Co. Mr. Lief D. Rosenblatt is also currently the Chairman of the National Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, MA and is a Trustee of the Cancer Research Institute since 2001. He also holds the status of a Waynflete Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford. Mr. Rosenblatt was a Trustee of the American Hospital in Paris Foundation and of the AVI CHAI Foundation. He earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and an M.A. from the University at Oxford, and an A.B. from Harvard University.
