Joseph A. Carrabba is Chairman (2007), CEO (2006) and President (2005) of Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. Other positions he held include: President and COO. He brings to the company more than two decades of experience in the field of international fielding, most notably from Rio Tinto, where he led the creation and implementation of Rio Tinto’s Six Sigma initiative at its bauxite mining operation in Australia. Carrabba also sits on the Board of Directors of the National Mining Association, Newmont Mining Corporation, Cleveland’s Great Lakes Science Center, Capital University Board of Trustrees, the Frostburg University Foundation and KeyCorp.
