John Dotson was the retired postal worker who went partners with Henry Henderson when Henderson started his own electrical contracting company from his basement in 1953. Dotson took responsibility for the company during the day when Henderson was working his day-job at Richardson Scale Company. Together Dotson and Henderson operated the company for 14 years, until 1967 when Dotson sold his share of the company to Henderson.
