Joe Gorder is President and COO of Valero. This puts him in charge of refining operations and commercial operations in marketing, supply and transportation. Before his current position, Gorder was President and Chief Commercial Officer of Valero Europe in which he supervised all commercial trading and related activity for the firm. Other positions he has held at Valero include: Executive VP for Marketing and Supply and Senior VP for Corporate Development and Strategic Planning.
