Jeffrey Gennette became Chief Merchandising Officer for Macy’s, Inc., in 2009. This puts him in charge of all buying and merchandising functions for the company throughout America as well as its market vendor partners. Other roles he has held at the firm include: Chairman, CEO (Macy’s West); Chairman (Macy’s Northwest); Executive VP and Director of Stores (Macy’s Central); Senior VP, General Merchandise Manager (Macy’s West). Gennette has been with the firm since 1983 when he came on board as an Executive Trainee.
