Gerard Rubin bought Jones Apparel from W.R. Grace in 1975 with business partner Sidney Kimmel. Together they incorporated the company as the Jones Apparel Group. During the next ten years Kimmel and Rubin lead the Group to become one of the leading firms in the women’s fashion business.
