FMR LLC is a US-based multinational financial services corporation, and one of the largest firms of its kind in the world. Fidelity was launched in 1946 by Edward C. Johnson II, and today serves North American investors.
FMR is the US investment management division of Fidelity Investments and is the advisor to the large number of Fidelity’s family of mutual funds. FMR is divided into three divisions; the Equity division, which is headquartered in Boston, MA; High Income division, also in Boston; and Fixed-Income, based in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
Fidelity also has a key online discount brokerage and 140 investor centers located throughout the United States.
