Dinakar Singh was born in 1971 and lives in New York. He was a partner at Goldman Sachs, where he co-headed of the Principal Strategies department. The Department is performs one of the key functions at the firm.It is responsible for investing the company’s capital across global markets.
Dinakar Singh helped build and manage a premier global multi-strategy investment group, and was responsible for a multi-billion dollar portfolio of investments ranging over a wide spectrum of products and markets.
In addition, during his 14 years at Goldman Sachs, he was on a number of the firm’s key leadership committees, such as the Securities Division Operating Committee,Partnership Committee, Risk Committee, and Asia Management Committee.
While at Goldman Sachs, he worked for four years based in Hong Kong, establishing the Principal Strategies efforts across Asia, and developing teams in Japan and Hong
Kong.
