Brian J. Dunn was appointed director and CEO of Best Buy Co., Inc. in 2009. He had already worked in the company however, for more than a quarter of a century, starting back in 1985 as a store associate, when the company was comprised merely of 12 stores. In 2006 he was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of the company. Other executive roles he held in the company include: President of Retail, North America; Executive President of Best Buy U.S. Retail; Senior Vice President, Regional Vice President, Regional Manager, District Manager and Store Manager. He has shown his expertise in the company through how he has expanded its market share; amount of employees; vendor relationships and customer satisfaction scores. He also serves on the board of The Best Buy Children’s Foundation.
