In a sophisticated and realistic attempt to find oil, BP employs top technologies alongside highly tested methods to locate the whereabouts of oil and gas under the earth’s surface. In the last few years, due to a major upheaval in the technologies available, there is a far greater likelihood for success. Prior to drilling, the use of aerial photography, 3D projections, and typographical maps amongst other tools are utilized to best provide for an educated guess on the size, shape and consistency of the natural gas.
