The US ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s was founded in 1978 in Vermont and today has its headquarters there. It forms part of the British-Dutch Unilever corporation, that manufactures, ice-cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt and other related novelty products. Its main factory is in Vermont. Ben & Jerry’s aims to both maintain and develop its social mission too, by promoting “social mission-mindful insight and guidance to ensure [it’s] making the best ice cream possible in the best way possible.”
