Anne Klein founded this clothing company with Gunther Oppenheim in 1968. The label provided a selection of fashionable and sophisticated separates using fabric in innovative and unusual ways. For example the designer was not afraid to pair what had traditionally been a daytime fabric with a fabric usually reserved for evening wear. Ann Klein and Company also created accessories that matched and coordinated well with the clothing that were in the line.
