Al Koop is the COO of Amway Corporation, its subsidiary, Access Business Group LLC, and Amway Canada Corporation. In this capacity, he oversees: R&D, purchasing, manufacturing and product distribution for Amway Corp., and its contract customers. Prior to these positions, Koop was Amway’s Senior VP, where he was responsible for the company’s manufacturing facilities in Michigan and California, as well as international distribution, information systems, forecasting/planning, engineering, purchasing and import-export functions. Other executive roles Koop has held at the corporation include: Amway’s Senior VP and MD of Americas and Europe; VP of International Distribution and Facilities Planning; and Amway’s Director of Regional Distribution Centers. He has been at the company since 1965.
